1955 Packard 400 Running and driving, with a clean Utah Title in my name.

Vehicle Description
1955 Packard 400. Packard was in the same class as Cadillac and Lincoln from the 1930 to the late 1950s. The Packard 400 was the top of the Packard models in 1955. In Packard sales ads, it was described as the "Gentleman's Hotrod. "My 1955 Packard 400 is a running and driving project. I have a clean Utah Title in my name. I'm proud of my EBay score with over 1200 positive feedbacks and no negative strikes on EBay, With EBay's score in mind, I will outline both the Positive and Negative aspects of my 1955 Packard 400. First the Positives: This is a completely original Packard. From the good running 352 V8 engine to the rear differential, the drivetrain is factory original and works well. The engine starts easily, and the transmission shifts smoothly. As a top of the line car, my Packard came with Power steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows and a Power front seat. The leather interior is complete, but needs attention. The chrome headliner bars are in place. The body is straight and the hood, trunk, and doors open and close properly. The headlights, dome lights work, and the power windows on the passenger's side work properly. Please look closely at all of the photos. The Negative: The Packard sat for several years in a garage. When the third owner bought it, in a hurry to get it running, they sucked the bad gas into the carburetor and fuel pump. This caused the Packard to not run. I rebuilt the carburetor and installed a new fuel pump, and purchased a complete new 55 Packard gas tank. Currently, the Packard starts easily, runs and shifts smoothly with the new fuel system. I also purchase a new 1955 Packard gas tank and filler pipe that still need to be installed. These new parts come with the Packard. The Packard came with dual exhaust and one side is missing the muffler and tailpipe. The original owners purchased a clear plastic seat cover set for the Packard to protect the original leather seats. Over the years heat from the sun melted the plastic which stuck to the leather seats. Most of the plastic came off easily and served well protecting the original seats, but some is still stuck, but come off with a little elbow grease. Again, please check the photos. The trunk is filled with parts. It has the original jacks, two spare tires and rims, as well as chrome trim parts. The Original rear fender skirts are in the trunk. It is missing the hood ornament, but the trim is in the trunk. The body needs some work. The driver's side front floor has rust, and there are scratches and dings that have surface rust, but nothing serious. The front and rear windshields are in good condition. With the exception of a crack in the passenger's side door window, the glass is good. The passenger's side power windows work, but the power window system needs a good cleaning. All of the dash gauges are in place and appear to work properly. The original trunk floor mat and side panel are in place, but show the wear from sitting for years. The spare tire well is in good condition and not rusted. I could go into more detail, but it might be better if you called me with any unanswered questions. (801) 745-5835. I enjoy talking about classic cars and will gladly answer any questions. The Current "Old Cars Price Guide" places a restored Packard 400 at $33,000 and Hagerty Car Values places a "good" Packard 400 at $19,800. I will work with you, if you want a "buy now" offer price. I'm 84 years old and I have three old car projects and need to sell two of them. I will keep the Packard securely stored until you arrange the pick up or shipping. I prefer a bank funds transfer for the purchase payment. I bank at Wells Fargo or PayPal if you will share half of the PayPal fees. Good luck, Bob
