1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series Special Edition show car. As a car collector myself, I fell in love with this car the second I saw it. I purchased it last year. I am the third owner. The first owner ordered it with every possible option. Power moonroof, E&G top, lacy wire wheels, distance high beam and auto mirror, temperature on mirror, illuminated keypad, and so on. Even level ride and dual exhaust. The second owner purchased it in 1990 with 40k miles and kept it in his car collection for 32 years. The car has never seen salt. It is gorgeous in person, and you will not find a better example with this look. I have the clean lien-free title in my name in hand. The snow-white seats are stunning. They have never been dyed or touched up in any way. They are soft and supple. The dash and rear deck are immaculate with no cracks or fading. The headliner is all original. The carpets and original floor mats smell like a brand-new Lincoln. The door panels are original, in spotless condition. The top is like brand new. It has not been repainted, and it doesn't have a mark on it. The paint is beautiful. It is all original except the top portion of the rear right door. It was repainted very well and matches exactly. The stainless trim along the lower portion of the car is like a mirror. The chrome is bright and clear. The power moonroof is huge!! It works perfectly. The moonroof shade and dual illuminated visor material are still in nice shape. I installed a Bluetooth radio so I can choose my music and take calls. The original cassette radio is in the trunk.I purchased his 1973 Buick Boat-tail, which he owned since new, with the Lincoln. The motor is in fantastic condition. It runs great and has nice power at all speeds. The transmission shifts perfectly in all gears. I have a shop, so I decided to go through the car for fun. Here's the list of items I did to make this car ready to drive across the country. I even changed parts I know are common issues for the future. I removed the dash and replaced the heater core and evaporator, which are located together in the same enclosure under the dash. I replaced all of the air conditioning seals, the dryer and orifice tube, and the A/C is ice cold. The water pump was leaking, so since I was in there, I changed the front main seal, timing chain, front cover seal, harmonic balancer, oil pan gasket, water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, power steering pump, and pulley. I changed the intake manifold gaskets, hoses under the intake, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, and updated the transmission shift linkage bushing. I changed the oil and temperature sensors along with the idle control valve. I also replaced the dual exhaust center pipes, stainless steel mufflers, resonators, and chrome tips. The car is whisper-quiet. I installed new front shocks, stabilizer links, and new whitewall tires. The brakes are in very nice condition. I have put a few pictures of the work being done. It was done with love and care.
I have taken this car to a dozen car shows and cruise nights. This car gets so many compliments. The car is a true pleasure to drive. The car floats down the road so smoothly. I love the way the hood looks as I drive. The pictures and videos show the Lincoln from top to bottom. Review my feedback on the cars I have sold, and you will see thatI know exactly how to care for you. I would recommend Shank Auto Transport for a quote. I have used them since 2001. Thank you Mike
