Vehicle Description

I bought this jeep from the family of a man who had an orchard near Gettysburg, PA in 2021 becoming the 2nd owner. The orchard keeper bought the Jeep new on November 25th, 1948. The original owner repaired it as it became necessary doing considerable welding on the frame, as it had been used to pull stumps and old trees among various other jobs over the ensuing 75 or so years of orchard life. As the body became damaged / rusted it was repaired with whatever bits of sheet metal became available on the farm. It has no/very little rust and hundreds of repairs are evident. I replaced the floors with new 18 gage steel sheet and some new hat channels. Steel fence posts had been used under floor in the back area. I overhauled the engine and transmission and replaced the entire braking system. The Jeep runs, drives and stops just as it should.
