Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 24th year in the classic and muscle car business. Here's a nicely restored rarity. Check out this wild 1959 Willys Jeep DJ-3A Surrey. And, no, it's Tropical Rose and Coral Mist, Thank You. These delightful runabouts evolved from the DJ-3A Dispatcher, the ubiquitous delivery vans used by the U.S. Postal Service. Louis Yocich, a salesman for Willys Export, had seen the Jeeps at Las Brisas resort in Acapulco, Mexico, which were pink with canvas halfcab tops. He figured that a similar Jeep might work at Henry Kaiser's 1,100-room Hawaiian Village Hotel, so the Gala (export) and Surrey (domestic market) were created in 1959.
