Vehicle Description

This 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon is a restored vehicle with updates to the exterior and interior. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is not regularly driven.

Vehicle Details

VIN is WV2XB0257FH078045 to get your own history reports. Bring a mechanic that knows Vanagons. I am one, but since I did all the work listed, I'm biased into knowing every part of the vehicle and be comfortablesaying it'sready for the road. Ut is the buyer'sresponsibilityto have the van viewed by someonethat is familiarwith Vanagons specifically.

Vehicle will not leave my property without payment in hand, signed title, and bill of sale. Vehicle is sold as-is with no warranty.

Read before contacting. Understand that the price listed is FIRM AND FINAL due to what is clearly stated in this description. Only contact me after reading the full description. Hopefully, the right buyer will see this and understand the pretty paint doesn't equal reliable.

New parts installed to make it completely ready to drive reliably and travel anywhere. It looks like an old Brown VW Van, but EVERYTHING you don't want to think about or 99% of people don't think about has been replaced or serviced. This is a turn-key fully operational Vanagon needing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to drive and enjoy as-is. Built for "PEACE-OF-MIND" not to win car shows. It has its original paint and baked clearcoat. So no worrying about parking lots or finger prints, or campsites.

Why put so much work into and old VW Van? If you have to ask, this is not for you. But to answer the question anyway, it is 99% RUST FREE, their values and SOLD prices continue to increase thanks to inflation and demand. It deserved to be rescued!

OVERHAUL took hundreds of hours and many thousands of dollars in parts. All work was completed by me, I am an experienced mechanic that performs engine and transmission conversions, rebuilds, and full services. However, due to life/health changes, I am taking time off and downsizing.

Receipts for most parts are included with purchase, PLUS images, PLUS imafes of the packages of parts as further proof to give triple assurance that everything listed and photographed was done. Trusting someone's word is difficult these days, so I wanted to show unequivocal proof.

Now for what it actually took to fully overhaul this Vanagon, except for paint.

What does the van currently need, just visual things:

-GoWesty Beige/Tan 3 Window Poptop Acrylic Canvas (new in a box,) and ckean the poptop flocking

-Passenger windshield wiper stud (new in a box)

-Windshield has 1 large chip and some tiny ones ($200-300 total cost at any glass shop to replace)

-Poptop skylight needs to be installed and is includes new in a box with all hardware, seal, mechanism, and bug screen. The port was vovered in a plexiglass sheet by a previous owner with silicone (People do weird things).

-maybe a wheel alignment because of all the new parts, though it drives well.

-body metal and paint are all original. The clearcoat is dried out on the top half around the window frames, and there are tiny dents, dings, scratches that one could expect to see on an original unrestored Westfalia that was used. Rear hatch is dented in a bit, have no idea what caused it. 2 drilled holes in the driver a-pillar for a CB antenna byba previous owner thank have sealany plugging them. The driver lower side panel has seam rust bubbles just starting.

-No accidents that I know of or see evidence of

-roof luggage tray has damaged on the backside and a lower front edge from the previous owner.
