Vehicle Description

1983 VW MK1 Jetta Project, Euro Import, Air-Ride
Looking to sell as is, all parts included as a project.
This is a european spec VW MK1 Jetta built in Wolfsburg Germany. It was imported from the Netherlands in 2016 by Orchid Euro. The 'euro' model features lower profile bumpers and a different headlight and grill than the US spec. It has Irish green paint code with chrome trim, textured plastic arches, embossed Wolfsburg logo rear mud flaps, sunroof, brown and tan interior, original no headrest front seats (drivers seat heavily worn, others in good/fair condition). The odometer says 450,500km which equates to 279,927 miles which I'm not certain is accurate. I purchased the vehicle in 2017 and personally only drove it a few thousand kilometers max. The Pennsylvania title is branded as mileage exempt, Import, and Antique. PA buyers can transfer the non-expiry antique registration tags.
The car has Air Lift performance struts ($2255 msrp), rear drop plates, and Unix performance tie rod flip kit. The front frame rails are notched for the driveshafts to allow the car to sit lower when aired out. Also features a rare Zender wing purchased NOS. Added chrome door handles and mirrors, originals also included. The windows were also tinted with ceramic 3m and the headlights covered with yellow protection film. The lines to the air suspension run to schrader valves in the trunk.
The car was taken apart around 2021 with the plan of painting the engine bay, fitting new fenders, and addressing some minor rust areas. Some rust developed under the rear plastic arches and some rust near the trunk latch. New rear arches and a new trunk latch area from a donor included for the rust repair (The new front fenders just have two bolts in them and are not properly fitted in the photos so they are sticking out quite a bit). No other rust issues underneath or otherwise. Ran and drove fine before the teardown, original motor and transmission would be included. I intended to swap to a newer motor but I kept the wiring harnesses and accessories all in tact when it was removed. The motor is a carbureted1.6l and manual 4 speed transmission.
It is sitting on newly powder coated factory VW teardrop wheels and new tires.
