I bought this vehicle from a vw car collector in Mexico. The classic beetle was last manufactured in Germany in 1978, however they continued to be produced in Puebla, Mexico until 2003. This body style is identical to the super beetle that was imported to the States in the 1970's. The car has only had three owners over its 39 years prior to me. The last owner bought it in 2015 from a vw mechanic who had just rebuilt the engine. He then repainted it inside and out, restored the interior with all original materials, and put new shocks and brakes. The car has never been in an accident, has been garaged the last ten years, has no rust, no play in the steering, and drives beautifully. The tires are in good shape and the battery has at least two years of use to go. I installed new retractable seat belts for front seats.
