Vehicle Description

This 1966 Volkswagen Type 2 double cab pickup was sold new by Suburban Import Motors in Watertown, Wisconsin and was acquired by the seller on BaT in April 2023 from its prior owner of 21 years. Subsequent work involved refreshing the brakes and steering components, adjusting the valves, converting the electric system to 12-volts, rebuilding the gear reduction boxes, and replacing the battery, ignition coil and wires, and valve cover gasket. The truck is finished in green over grey upholstery and powered by a 1.5-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. This Type 2 double cab transporter is now offered with partial service records, a tool kit, a sales invoice, and a clean Montana title in my name.
