VOKSWAGEN BUS / WAYFARER BOAT TOP

Vehicle Description

This was boat was purchased in 1963 with the original bus it came on. The bus was totaled out in 1965 and towed to my neighbors house. It remained there for several months before removing the boat and hauling the bus off to scrap. This is where the boat spent the next 53 years. They informed me the bus was purchased somewhere on the coast of California, and the boat was a 395 dollar option at the time. They also informed me, that the boat had only been in the water three times it's entire life. It comes with ores and the appropriate hardware. But there are no clamps to attach it to the roof. I can send more photos of any particular thing upon request. There are no visible markings on the ores or hardware to distinguish them as original Volkswagen equipment.
