The TR3 was produced at the Triumph factory in Coventry from 1955-1962. The TR3 “A” represents the evolution of the earlier TR2, but with greater “power” and braking. It was marketed as an economical entry-level sports car, a step up from the MG, but below the Austin-Healey in size and power.
