Vehicle Description
This is a "one-off" hot rod/sports car. Solid axle Triumph chassis. Rear lever shocks and mounts were removed and replaced with Koni adjustable telescopic shock absorbers while the front are standard shocks from Moss Motors. Steering rack is from a Triumph TR4. All brakes and brake hardware are from Moss Motors. 1958 Chevrolet 283 with single camel hump heads with hardened exhaust seats. Offenhauser 3x2 intake manifold with three Rochester 2bbl carbs. Vintage Ca-Custom finned valve covers with side breathers.Finned and polished aluminum oil pan. 1988 aluminum Corvette bell housing.1985 Corvette flywheel and clutch. True Cool radiator for Chevrolet. Nice headers. Saginaw manual transmission. 9-1 compression. Stock Triumph15 x 4.5 wheels. Rear tires are Mastercraft MC 440195/65 R15 and front tires are Firestone F-560 145R15 78S. Speedway Motors steering column with quick release steering wheel. Aluminum body on 3/4" birch plywood underbody. Front nose is from Speedway Motors and the rear fenders are from a 1952 MGTD. The front fenders are ribbed motorcycle fenders. Stewart Warner retro gauges. Seats are by "Stitch Bitch" and there are two Brooklands windscreens. The car has an 88 inch wheelbase and weighs 1780 lbs. This car is like a cross between an Allard, a Morgan, a Lotus Seven and a SCTA car. I call it a TR283. It has a clear Massachusetts title in my name and listed as a 1954 TR2.
