Vehicle Details
I purchased this TR250 several years ago. A Jaguar MK 10, Lotus Europa, TR3, (2) TR6's and Covid kept me from pursuing the restore. Hence the car has been in storage since my purchase. Truthfully, I still take full responsibility for the stalled project with a side order of Father Time making his presence known.
1968 Triumph TR250 with a British Motor Industry Heritage certification. Please refer to the #10 picture. I assume all is still correct having checked the body and motor numbers. The car has a clean Indiana Title and the matching and correct commission tag has been installed.
The below details are those of the individual of whom I made the purchase.
I bought this car from a person who had started the restoration but quickly realized he was in over his head. He had purchased many of the parts needed to restore the car and had given it to a auto body shop. they started the job but never finished. In the process they lost the main number plate on the front fender. The plate in the rear wheel well and the one on the fire wall they sandblasted but they are still legible.
The frame off restoration of the chassis is complete. The motor was rebuilt by the previous owner to 20 over and a medium hot cam installed, as per the previous owner, but never run. On completion of the rolling chassis, I ran up the motor for 10 minutes to make sure it was OK and it held 60 pounds of pressure, tho it will need to be fine tuned and the Weber carburetors need tuning also. 4 new tires and one extra painted rim.
I replaced the floor boards, rocker panels, in and out and the bulkhead end panels, and trunk panel. The seats have been reupholstered in leather along with NOS Seat Rails, Pirelli Tyres with OEM Powder Coated Rims, Original Luggage Rack, Door Glass with Frames and Regulator Assembly, Soft Top Frame and refurbished Bumper Mounts and Braces.
I have not completed the body work! ( see pictures) The car has been media blasted and sealed but will need a few small dents addressed and possibly a new upper valance. I have purchased a new lower valance from Rimmer Bros.
The parts such as radiator box, gas tank, break boosters, side windows top frame and most all else seem to be accounted for, but have yet to be tested or restored.
I am sure there are a few things that I have missed. There are numerous boxes of small parts, to many to list. New bumpers, refurbished gages, new wire harness, chrome trim, and fender beading, as well as re chromed tail and side lights. I have made a list of the parts I had planned to purchase to finish the car. I have totes full of either new, rebuilt or in good condition. Too many to list. I have more pics available so please feel free to inquire. Please serious inquires only. Additional questions please message me. I am open to any realistic offers. Thank you.
