Vehicle Description

This is the Trumph Stag that most Stag owners crave! The pearl-clutchers may gasp, but when they drive it they'll want the same high performance, tremendous acceleration, great stopping power, and beautiful exhaust notes that this car features for a thrilling driving experience.
This is a 1973 Triumph Stag Mark II with custom Mimosa Yellow paint, a Chevrolet 350 CID 5.7L 325 HP V8 engine, Chevrolet turbo 700 automatic trans, custom BMW disc brakes up front and custom differential to handle all that horsepower. It has a custom stainless steel dual exhaust and a new mohair convertible top from Stag Hood Factory in England. Originally designed by Giovanni Michelotti for Triumph, it now has more than double the orginal horsepower - while retaining the original looks and feel of the classic British roadster experience. There is no work left to do on this car that I know of - simply buy it and drive worry-free. Car comes with all receipts for any work done in the past 7 years, which is how long I've owned it. No overheating problems and I believe I am the fourth owner. Odometer shows 10,227 miles, which I suspect is the mileage since the new gauges were installed approx 2009.
Details on modifications and special features are below:
Engine: a previous owner had a Chevy 350 LT1 fuel-injected engine installed, by Stag Engineering in Tampa, Florida. This engine runs great, starts instantly, and was from a Corvette, Impala SS, or Camaro. It has approx 20,000 miles on the engine based on information from previous owners. The headers I had removed and ceramic coated. A new custom cold air intake system (Trickfow/K&N) was installed to clean up the air coming in and boost the horsepower to complement the new dual exhaust system. The exhaust is stainless steel with a crossover pipe, Borla dual inflow/outflow muffler, and twin Magnaflow resonators. It has a phenomenal exhuast sound - quiet but powerful at low RPMs, and when you open it up it can sound as thunderous as you'd like - or not. Radiator has been rebuilt, and has twin electric cooling fans.
Running gear: The rear end is a BMW 5-series with the following identifiers #84 233 BMW, 5M017, 1210441. The front brakes are BMW 5-series disc brakes with custom machined mountings.. The driveshaft was rebuilt and rebalanced. Wheels are Panasport "minilite" style. The mounting lugs have all been recently replaced with extended studs and new high-strength lug nuts. The tires are new Falken Azenis RT615K 195/60R14 86H for street or track and have excellent grip. Running gear specs comes with the paperwork and receipts.
Interior: original walnut dash in good condition, original seats in good condition per old owner, new beat belts and rebuilt retractors by SafetyRestore, new bluetooth stereo (Jensen) with new Pioneer speakers in rear, completely new convertable mohair top by the Stag Hood Factory (better than original) and new frame and hardware, all aftermarket Classic Instruments gauges and carpeting by previous owner. There is a set of four toggle switches to run the radiator fans, interior air flow damper, and interior fan which is a vast improvement over the original controls, and looks extremely cool. Radiator core has been rebuild and dashboard and wiring checked. The shifter is a B&M chrome aftermarket shifter.
Exterior: Great Mimosa Yellow color with new black mohair top, Small LT1 custom badging. Some very small and to-be-expected nicks and blemishes and one barely noticable faded area on the hood. One corrosion area in a corner of the floor pan underneath which is not a problem. Chrome is in very good condition and exterior looks like stock but updated. Very sharp looking. Aesthetically pleasing and very fuctional.
Car starts well, accelerates extremely fast, brakes straight, handles very well, and has a solid suspension with no issues that I know of. It's been a blast to own and drive and work on. I bought the car in 2018 for 17K, and put 26K additional into it over 7 years, plus my labor. It's been great, but I need to make room for another car. The last car I sold on ebay surprised the buyer by underpromising and over delivering, and I hope you have the same experience.
All sales are as-is, where-is, wirh pick up or transport by the buyer. No warranties are offered, either expressed or implied. Once it sells, there is no post-sale inspection allowed - this is to be fair to all bidders. I encourage you to inspect the car prior to purchasing. This car is advertised on other platforms and if it sells prior to this auction ending, I reserve the right to terminate the auction early. Bid thoughtfully, ask questions, and please inspect the car in zip code 60613. Winning bidder must pay $2000 deposit within 24 hours of auction close, and pay balance via bank wire transfer or money order or secure purchase within 5 days of auction close, and then pick up car at time of final payment. Money order must clear before pick up, as must all forms of payment. Receipts, cars available history, any available specifications will be provided with the car.
If it doesn't sell, I'll be thrilled and happy to keep it!
