Vehicle Description

This is an extremely nice 1974 Triumph TR6 Roadster in the very pretty factory color, Pimento Red. Chestnut bucket seated interior that has recent carpet upgrade. The sale of this car includes the actual original Window Sticker, copy of the Bill of Sale, the original Data Tag, and the original Owner’s Manual. This unmolested straight body and very solid under chassis has had just great maintenance and caregiving for many years. This TR6 features the original 2.5-liter, 6 cylinder engine with even compression in every cylinder, professional rebuild with all new parts. Parts include bearings, pistons, rings, thrust washer, timing chain, oil pump, rod bushings, intake valves, exhaust valves along with valve guides, valve springs, lifters, front engine seal, rear engine seal, clutch, release bearing, and pressure plate. This rebuild was performed at 77,000 miles and cost $3500. Currently, the odometer reads 1,100 miles, but actual is most likely 101,000. It’s assumed the odometer has rolled over once for sure but cannot be verified. The engine work can be substantiated with receipts. The terrific chassis is just really outstanding along with the superior frame, both detailed by the Fraser Dante shop in 2019. Also in 2019, the vehicle was on the lift for many hours of prep, brand new expensive black reflector top ‘as factory’ installed as well. The TR6 has the original, nowrestored, factory wheels with trim rings, new red center caps and lug nuts, along with Coker RED line radial tires. Brand new dash along with new carpet. Very solid chassis along with an outstanding body with very straight lines, and recently professionally high speed buffed. The car has many original parts and equipment were on the car from new and now updates done with engine, brakes and the final buffing and polishing accomplished for a nice look ready for Spring 2025 motoring, a top #2 Driven Show car. Additional photos can be provided of previous work done.

Summer of 2024 the transmission was professionally rebuilt for a third gear problem. Shift forks were defective, and it was also determined the syncros were recently replaced. At this time, the clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing were replaced primarily because they were accessible, and it made sense to swap them. Borg and Beck clutch parts were used for this swap out.

This TR6 has been appraised $45,000 and essentially validated by Insurance Company and is insured for that amount.
