Vehicle Description

This 2R 10 Studebaker truck is a very original barn find. In the past I have restored 12 antique vehicles to concours level. I purchased this truck 3 years ago with the intention of restoring it. However as I took it to cruise nights and shows, people liked it so much as it is I decided not to restore. This truck is one of the most original and complete vehicles I have ever purchased. I’m guessing it was a farm truck in a dry climate and stored under roof. Included are the five original split rims with early Firestone bias tires. As seen in the photos they have some dry rot but hold air. I couldn’t get anyone in the area where I live to work on split rims. I had custom rims made that emulate the look of split rims and applied radial tires(cost $3200). The engine was rebuilt professionally by the previous owner. The things I have done to improve the truck are; changed the carburetor with a correct nos car, cooked the radiator out and resealed,new tie rod ends and drag link,new muffler, new battery last month,gas tank dropped and cleaned, new gas sender, new speedo( the original one bounced all over the place when driving). The truck had 58,123 miles on it when I purchased it. Unfortunately the mechanic accidentally threw the original one away.

Vehicle Details

The truck appears to have the original paint and interior, including rubber floor mats. Has minor rust at the typical places which I tried to capture in the photos. There are two small thru rust holes under the front of the rubber mat on both sides. Frame is rock solid. The rocker panels are completely gone. Included are new rocker panels. Truck starts right up and runs great.
