Vehicle Details

I purchased this as an anniversary gift, but have decided to build a pool before retirement. I’ve owned hundreds of cars and this has been my favorite to drive. It’s a pleasure to drive and floats down the road. Nearly everything works, with one exception I can think of. At the beginning of last winter, the interior heat stopped working. I’ve traced it to a cable controlled valve on the driver’s side fender. Apparently it’s a common Rolls Royce problem to stick and likely just needs lubrication so the spring can do its job. If I can fit it in, I’ll resolve the issue before sale.

Last winter, I had a new top installed at a cost of over $6000. I went through all the window mechanisms and installed a couple New Old Stock motors. I installed a hands free Bluetooth Alpine stereo and speakers. Tires have less than 2000 miles on them.

I purchased the car from the original owner. I have his original invoice, see picture. He paid $183,500. The car spent almost its entire life in Arizona. There is NO corrosion on this car. No underbody rust. Even the chrome is fantastic. The wood is excellent, with the exception of the driver’s door piece that has been nicked by the seatbelt. The leather still looks presentable (except for cut in rear seat), but it’s dry and could use replacement. GAHH has the correct color leather and sells a kit. Someone in the past did pull the fuel injection off and put on a Weber carburetor. It starts quickly and runs smoothly. According to broker when I bought it, it has all new brakes in it, at a cost of around $5000, but there is a slight leak somewhere in the rear. There are other minor leaks. I believe the power steering has been leaking, but seemed to stop after driving a few times.

The driver’s door has been repainted and is not a perfect match. The clear in burned through on the trunk, see pictures.
