George Barris Rolls Royce Kustom - Brother of the Batmobile

Vehicle Description
Up for sale is my George Barris Silver Spur Rolls Royce. This was George Barris' own personal car, a Certified Barris Kustom, see pic, and brother of the Batmobile, obviously. Currently in non running condition. See pics 6 onwards that show current condition. It's was in storage in my garage for some ten years prior to more recently, since July 2021 in storage in an open air lot in Sylmar, N San Fernando Valley, just off the 210, Los Angeles. First 4 pics are what it looks like cleaned up, and the next 5 pics after the Certification doc pic is what it looks like now. According to the owner of the open storage lot, the dust protects the paint from the sun, hence no car cover. I just took his advice. It probably doesn't look great in person, but it'll clean up no problem. In 2021 we had it all cleaned up and almost running. New spark plugs, some tinkering, etc, but we ascertained that the fuel pump and fuel lines needed cleaning. Last time I started it up was 2020. It's a Rolls Royce, with some massage it'll fire right up, and the car will clean up nice as per the first 4 picsand the canvas top will straighten out with some heat, castor oil and massage. Well worth doing, as it is, obviously, worth a lot more than $10k, given it's certified heritage. I'd say the sky's the limit on this. I meant to do it myself, but just didn't get round to it. When it does clean up and start, the only real fault I can think of is the rubber painted bumpers, the paint is cracked slightly, where paint doesn't really go well on rubber. I have seen this on other Barris Kustoms. It's typical of Barris cars. But, the guy who painted it in 1981 still works at Barris in North Hollywood and he quoted me a decent price to touch up any paintwork that needed doing. To pick it up, you might need an air pump to put some air in the tires, and a trailer or flatbed. I have 100 mile AAA if that's of any help to the buyer - see second to last pic, just before the title pic. Also, ebay was having trouble finding the match of the VIN number, no idea, the VIN number is fine and it's a clean title ready to be signed over to you, along with the certification doc. Any other docs are in the car, a long with a spare wheel and tire in the trunk. When I was driving it around Los Angeles the only thing I had done on it was a new windshield washer pump and I had the inside of the back wheel rims cut to fit the larger wheels. It was done at a pro shop and he did a great job. Very last pic is circa 2000 and it's original wheels, which I don't have, and in any case I prefer the chrome wheels. Looks bad ass rolling down Sunset. Sold AS IS, obviously.
