Vehicle Description
- 2000 Ariel Atom Replica Car Project – Unfinished Build – Incredible Potential!
Sadly, my wife says this one has to go! I recently acquired this Ariel Atom replica project, and while I wish I could keep it, if I want to stay married I have to pass it on to someone who can finish what’s been started. If you know anything about the Ariel Atom, you know what kind of machine this can become — a street-legal, F1-style rocket that delivers mind-bending performance thanks to its ultra-lightweight design. (New Atoms sell for $80,000+!) Many use Honda Civic Type R engines, and you can imagine how wild that power-to-weight ratio feels.
Check out Jeremy Clarkson’s famous Top Gear review of the Ariel Atom - fastest way to a mid life crisis— it says it all! Included some pics of actual finished Atoms as reference images of what you can finish building.

This Project this replica is unfinished, but a ton of the hard work is already done. Hundreds of hours have gone into custom building this chassis up to this point. Measurements width 77" (at rear wheels, overall length 120" (without nose cone), wheelbase 96"
Here’s what’s included:Chassis: Custom-built, strong tubular frame, still bare metal if you want to make any modifications and to paint in the color of your choiceFiberglass body panels: Tub, dash, rear cowl, and intake – thick and well-made Running gear: Was told it was taken from a complete, running Honda Accord (manual transmission, 3 bins of additonal parts like the wiring harness come with if wanted) Wheels/Tires: Wide wheels with 275/40/17 rears and 245/45/17 fronts (tires are shot and will need replacement if you go with these wheels)
Some of the things it still needs • Shocks setup • Exhaust system • Wiring & lighting • front nose cone or whatever you decide to add -paint
Endless Possibilities This can be finished as an Ariel Atom replica, or you can go your own direction — maybe a BAC Mono-style build, or something completely custom. The open, accessible chassis makes it easy to work on and modify to your taste.
This is an unfinished custom build and there is no title or vin so depending on where you live you would have to get it registered unless you keep it as a trackday only car.
Located in Denver, Colorado. Buyer is responsible for pickup or arranging shipping.
This is an awesome foundation for someone who wants a high-performance kit car without starting from scratch. With the cost of metal or shop fabrication hourly rates this is a bargain. With some vision and elbow grease, you’ll have an absolute head-turner that drives like nothing else on the road.
