This is a 1 of 1 Replica project of a 1968 Intermeccanica Italia. A mold was taken of an original Italia, and this body was made from the mold out of thick fiberglass. A jig was taken of the original frame and this frame was one off produced. The frame has been modified to accept mustang II front suspension and a four link rear end was welded in.
The front end opens similar to a Dodge Viper, a frame was created to accept the weight of the front hood. The side scoops are slightly larger than the original Italia, custom shaped from sheet metal. Side skirts were custom made from sheet metal, again taking design cues from a Gen I Viper.
Floor pan and fender wells are custom made from sheet metal, as is the dashboard frame, firewall, and rear trunk area.
Body is made from thick fiberglass, and really good quality. The door gaps have already been aligned and latches have been installed. The trunk lid fits well. Front hood still needs some adjustment to fit perfectly.
Ford Hydraulic steering rack with custom steering shaft mocked up, works well.
Car has a 9" rear end, a Ford 302, radiator mount, motor mounts, front suspension, ETC.Sitting on Mustang Cobra wheels, tires have lots of tread. I have a few extra parts, see picture. That's all I have.
Car comes with a 1968 Ford 2 door title, I believe the VIN comes back to a LTD. Could be titled this way or titled as a custom build.
Just off the top of my head car needs fuel setup, interior, driveshaft, transmission, rear spring perches welded in, brake lines, front bumper area needs some work, gauges, exhaust, lots of finishing work ETC
Needs to be finished but thousands of hours have already gone into this car to get it to this point. Would make an incredible project and considering original Italia's are bringing $120K + Easy, with some work somebody could have a very cool similar looking car for less than half that.
