License plate frames (plastic) and License plate inserts (metal)
In the garage of an abandoned house in Torrance, CA. I found a box of Vasel Polak Frames and inserts.
The frames are metal and wrapped with 1974 Los Angeles newspaper. There are about 20 of them and all like new.
The frames are plastic and are all in a plastic sleeve.
I found an old employee of Vakek Polak that worked there in the 70’s. He told me that they changes types of plates and inserts on a regular basis. Sometimes white and sometimes Green. He told me that Vasek was a true Porsche enthusiast and put Metal Plates on all Porsche 911’s and 930”s. He put plastic frames and plastic inserts on Audi’s.
I saw a white insert like this on Pelican parts that sold for $90 a few years ago and one on The Samba that sold for $75.00
