1985 Porsche 944 Firehawk

Vehicle Description
85.5 Firehawk Porsche 944 Project Racecar
Running when it was parked 15 years ago. Car is complete, nothing removed. I traded the car away in 2009 and reacquired it in 2021 in same condition. Listing as project since no attempt has been made to start it.
A limited number of these Firehawk cars were produced in 85 and 86 and went from factory to track for the IMSA Firehawk series. Built by special order with ‘option delete’ (any option not needed for the track was left off, such as AC and sunroof).
This car was tracked by John Abruzzo and Will DiGiovanni on PCA and SCCA circuits as a top contender over many seasons. Became my first racer in 2005 and was run in five race weekends over four seasons. Cosmetic roll-over damage on roof. Car was reinspected and cleared to race the next day with replaced A-arm. Roll-over sounds bad but was minimal damage. Entered gravel trap sideways at Summit Point turn 10 and went over once and back onto four wheels then driven from the trap. Video of the race and immediate shot after the roll-over is online under Hyperfest June 2008 944 Cup Series race. Red flag incident lap 4.Hyperfest -https://vimeo.com/8292264
