Pop-up headlights, a removable sunroof, a rear hatch spoiler, and a rear window wiper are joined by type 931-specific elements consisting of a bank of rectangular intakes above the front bumper, vertical cooling vanes along the front apron, and a NACA duct in the hood. Safari-themed equipment added in 2022 includes front and rear mud flaps as well as a roof rack outfitted with a cargo basket, a spare wheel and tire, Hella auxiliary lights, a shovel, an ax, and a Hi-Lift jack.ATS 15″ five-lug wheels have been powder-coated in gold and mounted with 215/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires, and a matching spare is secured on the roof rack. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs that were fitted with replacement rotors and pads in 2022, and the fluid was flushed in August 2023. A suspension lift of 1.5 inches was achieved with custom front-strut lifts and by re-indexing the rear torsion bars. The tie-rod ends and wheel bearings were also replaced during the 2022 rebuild.Front seats from a 911 have been fitted, and they are upholstered in tan vinyl with gray fabric inserts. The cracked brown dashboard wears a rigid cover, and the remainder of the cabin is trimmed in beige and brown. Additional appointments include a Continental stereo receiver, folding-back rear seats, 993-script carpeted floor mats, and air conditioning that uses R134a and was rebuilt in March 2024.
The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four was rebuilt in 2022, as were its Bosch K-Jetronic fuel-injection system and the fuel distributor. The engine was powder-coated, and the rebuild utilized Mahle pistons, a recalibrated fuel-pressure regulator, and a replacement Bosch alternator.
