Condition & Ownership: This 944 was previously used for autocross by the prior owner who completed all modifications. I acquired the car approximately 8 years ago with the intention of using it for high-performance driver education events, but it remained unused for that purpose. Since then, it’s seen only ~1,000 miles and has been part of a 40-car private collection, stored in a climate-controlled garage. Unfortunately, I will never get it on the track and I hope the next lucky owner gets to drive it as it was created.
It retains the original R1 tires (date coded 2014), which show no signs of dry rot but may have hardened due to age. The only cosmetic update under my ownership was a professional repaint of the front nose to correct minor road chips – the finish blends seamlessly and looks factory fresh.
Performance & Driving: Despite its vintage, this 944 is deceptively quick and easily keeps up with modern performance vehicles. Whether used as a dedicated track car or as a spirited weekend cruiser, it offers an engaging and rewarding experience behind the wheel.
I rarely sell but if you look at my feedback, the few cars I sold all buyers gave very good feedback. I will also help with shipping, the car is in a beautiful air condition garage at the Homestead Speedway in Miami, huge lot for loading and just off the Florida Turnpike.
