Rare Rare Rare 1963 Bonneville convertible with a 389 police spec matched to a factory m20 4speed and posi trac rear end this car was ordered to just go fast.Relisting at a lower starting price to get some bid started where are you going to find a smooth running '63 convertible anything ?? this car is fun to drive and a great investmen, ,,, it will only be worth more 3-5 years from now... it is for sale locally and is not gonna be available long. so bid to win !!
first about car..... have build sheet and its a matching numbers unrestored car that was sold new in SC and was in same family for years and years was sold in estate auction and went to TX where Fast and Loud TV show bought and decided not to build for show and I bought. its has all paperwork and releases forms signed to be on season 9 of show this fall... Alabama does not require title for cars that old to be registered so I still have TX title from Gas Monkey garage that will go with car
A couple of pics show car in a car show insid, so you can see how incredible it looks under lights. it is unrestored withoriginal paint and all original interior...all light, gauges work, body is superstraight. cranks and drives so smooth and runs so smooth with no smoking or idling problems I drive to work one way 20 miles 2-3 times a week.and we just went to local water park in it with my son. when we stopped and got ga, people always gather around and at the water par, we got thumbs up and shouts what a cool car it was arriving and leaving.. if you dont like talking to people about cars this is NOT the car for you!!! it gets MAJOR attention dail, every where it goes
exterior / needs paint has the factory blue that is wearing and cracking in places and i have thought over and over about painting but with it beingoriginal. have not... has all the emblems and both front and back bumpers have chrome peeling but once again there is a place local that will rechrome very reasonable but I have not to keeporiginal....all lights work . brakes lights,,,,, needs a new top and motor .... dont know if motor should be rebuilt or replaced top has no rips and raises super easy and locks tight so I have just keeporiginal
interior / seats are in great shape dash has no cracks alloriginal except radio, has after market radio..all the ashtrays and has the speaker in rear seat chrome still looks good to make a show car some attention there would be needed but to me door panels and interior looks very nic, ,, carpet is a little worn not bad and car came from factory with a front bench seat,, I have looked at 100s of Bonnevilles from 1963 in pics and 100 percent have automatic and a console Mecum and Barnett Jackson have sold 6 or 7 over the last few years all $25000 - $40000 and ALL with automatics and consoles that how rare this 4 speed is try and locate a matching #s factory 4 speed Bonneville... I think no matter what car sells fo, I think it will be underpriced because of how rare the 4 speed is.
motor / motor runs great.... shifts smooth.... will lay down to nice black marks with the posi rear end.... will boil them in first,, get you side ways in 2nd and chirp them in 3rd and thats with wife driving.... hasoriginalPontiacbaby blue motor and speedo shows just under 40000 miles and I feel this is theoriginal miles because I had a 64Catalina and it had 136000 miles and the baby blue paint was almost all burnt off.... this one still has almost all paint,,,, so with how it runs I have no way of knowing if its rolled over. but I think that its has under 40000 miles, I think I have put more miles on it in a year then it has had put on in 50 year, ,,,,, all with 0 problems I can get in right now and go to work with out worrying about braking down and missing a client,,,,, and this is a 1963.... areliable 1963
trunk / have bumper jac, spar, tire balancing tool.... car hasoriginal 8 lug wheels with new tire, you have to have this tool to balance the tires, trunk hasoriginal mat and has the factory radio and the sun visors and owners manual
car body and underneath has no rust issues the only rust problem that would need addressing would be where trunk weather stripping cracked and water sit and the lip where the stripping goes is rust, ,this had to be a Pontiac design problem because my "64 had the same issue., some light surface rust on bumpers ... but this car you will not have to worry about rust. all the windows have tight rust free area and car has a new windshield...
starting price low with a buy it now price of $15000.... i think this is a very great buy. when I was at Gas Monkey, Richard Rawlings told me he thought it would buy car / clean it up and sell fast for $18000-$19000 but decided to sell to get some fast cash... so I bought cleaned up,,, got running like a dream from sitting in storage for years and ready to sell to have cash to go to upcoming auction.... This car can easily be taken to the next level withminimum cash .... where do you find a matching # Bonneville convertible with a 4 speed? you are not for even close to this price youcan invest and car is only going up in value or do what I do enjoy i, drive it around and enjoy it.. and car is only going up in value.. either way for price this is a cant go wrong car.....
