BARN FIND! Freshly out of dry storage 1966 Pontiac Bonneville convertible two-door coupe. In her Original (special order) factory interior / exterior color combination rare and spectacular Dark Marina turquoise metallic .(Repainted original color once) Completely rebuilt Original factory matching numbers 389 high performance V8 .four barrel carburetor and TH400 three speed automatic transmission. Described as Barn Find (a term I don't use lightly) for the following reason, until recently the car still had its original 1960s dry rot bias ply tires .To the best of my knowledge the car has not been registered or plated in over 45 years! Out of circulation and in dry storage since 1979. The dashboard and dashpad are in pristine original condition as well as the flawless turquoise green lucite steering wheel and a very nice original Marina turquoise metallic leather and vinyl interior. The original single exhaust system runs quiet and is believed to be factory original. This survivor is 99% Rust free and 99% complete even the clock still keeps time. Approximately 8 years ago the Bonneville underwent a partial mechanically restoration which included a fresh brake system from the master cylinder on back. New alternato, regulator and batter, New Old stock gas tan, sending unit and fuel lines. New Power steering pump and power steering gear box. And nos radiator .Completely rebuilt original 389 V8 and completely rebuilt original 3 speed turbo hydramatic 400 automatic transmission . This car was slated for a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration and fresh paint, the mechanical part as described above has been completed . Body work to correct minor dents and dings and surface imperfections was not completed and the decision was made to respray the car as it is in an effort to celebrate its unique histor, circumstances and highly original condition.
