Carolina Muscle Cars is pleased to have this beautiful 1969 Firebird Resto-mod in our showroom! This stunning example has benefited from a comprehensive restoration that's far more than OEM, brought to its present state by Stephen Covington, owner of East Texas Muscle Cars in Longview, Texas. Its driveline upgrades include a 347 CI V-8 engine based on a Texas Speed short block assembly. Texas Speed also added their Torquer V2 camshaft, PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 CNC ported heads, an LS6 intake manifold and injection fed via a Holley Sniper fuel tank and Holley Sniper 340 LPH in-tank fuel pump. A Hooker LS engine swap kit and a set of long tube headers coupled with MagnaFlow exhaust are also used here, with special Firebird logo detailing on the valve covers. This is backed up with a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission using a 3600 RPM stall converter and a modern Moser 12-bolt rear axle setup. Suspension changes include the Hotchkis front sway bar and coil springs, and 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes with a detailed master cylinder.
This car was refinished two years ago in bright GM "Pull Me Over Red" and has also been treated to a new white power convertible top and associated mechanisms. A new windshield and seals are part of this, and are aided by sound-deadening interior insulation. Inside is a gorgeous Parchment White vinyl interior. This features front bucket seats and center console, upgraded Dakota Digital instrument panel, rocker toggle switches and a JVC stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity as well as USB functions via auxiliary inputs. Outside details are the 1969 rear spoiler, a new front air dam, 350 hood tags, LED front lights and dual chrome mirrors. With a full-size spare and race floor jack included, this car rides on 17-inch Year One Rally II wheels featuring PMD center caps and radial tires.
