1966 Pontiac GTO
Same Portland, Oregon owners for over 58 years.
Unrestored survivor kept in an indoor storage unit since 1986.
Sold new at “Central Pontiac, Inc.” in Seattle, WA to Mr. Robert Mehrlich who passed away in 1986.
Before his passing he asked his wife, Rose, to never sell the GTO.
She kept that promise for 38 years but finally had to let it go in June of 2024.
The car comes with documentation from Jim Mattison at Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) which includes a copy of the original window sticker, order sheet and billing invoice.
The original Oregon plate that expired in 1986 is also included.

Replacement 400 V8 engine due to original failure in the mid ‘70s
Original Muncie M20 4 speed transmission and shifter
Original “YH” code 3.55 Safe-T-Track (posi) rearend
Sun tachometer (added early in its life)
Original AM radio with front and rear speakers
Amazingly nice and 100% original black vinyl interior
Carpet, headliner, dash pad, visors, etc. are all original!
Nice all original glass, bumpers, grill and exterior trim
All original weatherstrips except for new trunk seal
Factory 14” Rally 1 wheels with new redline radial tires
Original Uniroyal redline spare and jack assembly
Original, unrestored engine bay, trunk compartment and undercarriage
Straight and solid original body, floors and trunk
Mostly original “Candlelight Cream” exterior finish showing minimal wear
Minor paint repair performed on the driver’s side (before photos available)
Recent maintenance after 38 years in storage includes:
New fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump and carburetor
Rebuilt original “Harrison” radiator and new water pump
New hoses, thermostat, temp sender and fan belt
All new brakes, shoes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder
New AC Delco plugs, wires, cap, rotor and fuel filter
New valve cover gaskets, oil filter and antifreeze
New mufflers, shock absorbers and battery
The GTO runs, drives and performs outstanding and has a current odometer reading of 50,289 miles and a great history.

If you are the winning bidder a $2,000.00 deposit will be required within 48 hours after auction ends, with the remaining balance due 5 days thereafter.
NO EXCEPTIONS unless prior arrangements have been made with the seller.
This is a “Used Vehicle” and therefore will be sold “AS-IS”.
Inspections are welcome PRIOR to the auction ending.
Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. My company works with several qualified transporters and we will be happy to help with those arrangements.
