See video links below.OVERVIEW:When was the last time you saw one of these? This is likely the nicest example for sale anywhere, and one of the most highly-optioned you will ever find. Very stock and original-appearing. Runs and drives even better than it looks. Pontiac enthusiasts, this is a rare chance to add something to your garage that is as beautiful as it is rare. Plus, you'll be the ONLY one with a Grand Am at your local cruise night.OPTIONS:* Optional NACA-scooped hood* Power steering* Tilt wheel w/factory leather wrap * Power front disc brakes* Power windows (yes they work)* Power locks (yes they work)* Power driver's seat (works)* Reclining Driver & Passenger bucket seats* Optional tach and gauges (all work)* Factory A/C (yes, it blows cold)* Factory clock (yep, it works, too)* Power glass moon roof that is extremely nice, with an exceptional installation* AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo system with under-dash controller & neatly installed sub box in trunk (nothing crazy)* 15" Pontiac Rally II wheels w/ nice rings, caps + 4 NEW BFG Radial T/As EXTERIOR:* Professionally re-finished in its original color (Burnished Umber metallic). * Body is very straight, nice consistent body gaps, and the base/clear paint is in excellent condition. * Shows very few minor nicks and scratches. * No rust, no bubbling, no cracking/oxidized/fading paint* An excellent fiberglass replacement front nose/grille replaced the notoriously fail-prone urethane original.* All exterior lights work (parking, low, high beams, brake and taillights, all signals)* All glass is clean/damage-free, & no bad tint jobs. * Rear bumper has been rechromed, rub strip and rubber spacer is nice, & all stainless trim is in vgc.INTERIOR:* Clean, original interior, with a crack-free dash, working gauges and tach, and clean surfaces throughout. * Brand new Lloyd mats cover the front floors, with matching loop pile texture and embroidered Pontiac Arrowheads. * Just minor wear typical of a 52 yr old car that has been well-maintained throughout its life. See walkaround video for more detail * Car came with sample materials from SMS Auto Fabrics in case you decide to upgrade the original carpet, etc. * The unusual combination of deluxe neutral cloth with vinyl trim is not something you'll likely ever see in another one of these.MECHANICAL:* This Grand Am is an original "P" code optioned 400/4bbl/Dual Exhaust car, but now is powered by an excellent running Pontiac 455 V8 (which was an available option). It's a clean, stock-appearing install using a stout 1970 "YH" code 360 hp block, meaning it has tons of torque and will fry the tires when called upon. It is tuned well, starts easily even after sitting, and is smooth, powerful, & reliable. The transmission is a Turbo 400 automatic that shifts very firm through all gears. You can drive this Grand Am anywhere with confidence, all while catching rays via the power moon roof, staying cool with the cold AC, and listening to your favorite tunes via your phone.VIDEOS:* Short driving video (copy and paste): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFdr9n3ATDs* Cold Start video (copy and paste): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Hi77VqO_94* 6-minute walkaround video (copy and paste): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpWFQKzHIyg&t=32sCONCLUSION:These cars have really shot up in value in recent times, with a few examples selling in the $40k-$55k range in the past year (see BringATrailer for actual examples). I've tried to price this beautiful example reasonably, tens of thousands less that those other cars, and less than Hagerty Valuation Tool's #3 value for a 400/4bbl version. I always tell my clients to buy the best example they can find of the classic they are searching for. You'll not only enjoy the car and the ownership experience more, but you'll spend less money in the long run. Stop looking at mediocre project cars that will require buckets of money, years of time, and even then won't look as nice or drive as tight as this well-preserved low mile example. Contact me at 913-461-4890 or use "Contact Seller" button.* Please understand this is a 50+ year old car, and will, regardless of the level of preservation/restoration, not be "Day 1" perfect.* I've tried to be exhaustively thorough, but can't be held liable for omissions or flaws unknown to me.
