Vehicle Description

Up for sale is my 1970 Road Runner. It has a 383 motor, with a 727 automatic on the column, bench seat, power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. I purchased the car in 2012 in San Diego from a Chaplin in the Navy. He was the second owner and purchased it in 2000. I believe it was originally from Washington but came into California early in its life. It has the blue California plates. There is an original California pink slip with the paperwork which is dated in 1972. It was a very original car when I purchased it. I have the build sheet for the car. The prior owner had done a lot of work on the car while he owned it. It is a matching numbers car. He had rebuilt the motor and trans. He had the car painted the original color, Ice Blue Metallic. He redid the interior, dash and gauges. All the gauges work including the tach and clock. It is a beautiful car. After I purchased it I had an engine builder friend build a completely new motor with the original block. He is a well know guy who has built hundreds of high performance motors. He would be happy to talk to you about the build. It has all the best parts including JE pistons, Edelbrock heads, Crane roller cam, comp cams roller rockers and TTI shorty headers. The heads were ported, the intake was port matched and all the components were balanced. It was built to run on pump gas. I added the factory electronic ignition to replace the points system. It has a new aluminum radiator that looks like the factory unit. I added a Hughes torque converter that has a slight stall to work with the motor. The AC system is complete but has not been refilled after the motor was installed. I have only driven the car about 100 miles on the new motor. I had a local rear end shop rebuild the rear end and added posi. It has 323 rear gears. I added a front disc brake kit from Stainless Steel with a new booster and master cylinder. I also added a vacuum pump from Master Power which is super quick and very quiet. It has adjustable Koni shocks both front and back. The front sway bar had been powder coated and installed with all new parts. You can see from the pictures and video that the car is very nice. It has an upgraded stereo with CD player in the glove box with speaker boxes sitting behind the seats. I did not want to cut any holes in the car. I also added aftermarket temp and oil pressure gauges under the dash. I had the rear wheels made and painted to match the car and the front wheels. They are 15x8. The tires are TA Radials with almost no miles. It has a new gas tank and all new 3/8 fuel lines. There is way too much stuff to even remember. I love working on cars and have been working on it since I purchased it. I buy all the best stuff and do not cut corners.

I have all the receipts from the prior owner with pictures of the car from when he purchased it. It runs and drives perfect. I just need to make a little space and there is not much more I can do to the car. It comes with a tan flannel car cover from California Car Cover Company. The car is always covered in the garage. The paint is super nice and zero rust.

I have a video of the car on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vD6ijqw_3w

Reach out with any questions. I can help with setting up the shipping if needed. The car is also for sale locally so I will end the auction if it sells.
