Car has been collector owned and garaged year round. Recently serviced with NEW starter, NEW flywheel, NEW tune-up, NEW headlight motors (not connected), NEWLY rebuilt carburetor and a few other minor odds and ends.
Body and paint are fairlyNICE. Nice and straight with decent quality paint. Minor blemishes like chips, scratches, touch-ups as you'd expect from being older but looks good and gets thumbs up anywhere including local car shows and cruise nights. I would call it a 10 footer. Was redone some time ago, not sure when. NOT an original black car. Small hairline cracks in fiberglass in a few spots.
Interior looksGOOD driver quality.Seats were reupholstered some time ago. Everything else is pretty much original and in fair/good shape. Couple small hairline cracks on dash pad. Shifter boot could use replacing. Some fading on carpet. Overall presentable driver quality AS SHOWN. Convertible top also in VERY GOOD shape, redone some time ago with NO TEARS.
Under the hood has an NOM 454ci V8 Engine withFACTORY 4 SPEED. Motor starts right up and sounds great. NO noises. Some performance modifications like roller rockers, mild camshaft, some internal mods, headers into sidepipes, aluminum intake and 750cfm carburetor. Transmission shifts good with GOOD clutch. Brakes feel good. Steering is nice and tight without much play. I've driven the car myself quite a bit and it's a lot of fun. Plenty of get up and go and lots of fun shifting gears.
Underside is pretty clean withSOLIDframe. Birdcage appears solid throughout with GOOD FLOORS.LOOK AT YOUTUBE VIDEO IN THE LINK
Please keep in mind that car is not perfect and will need a few minor things here and there. Not working: horn, wipers, headlights (have NEW electric motor conversions but not hooked up), could use some bulbs replaced here and there, signals may not be connected, radio, older tires. Previous owner was some sort of gadget freak so he had a lot of small electrical gadgets hooked up on the car that I had to take off, so a lot of the wiring is still there. Also had a two point roll bar in the back that was cut off at one time. I'm sure there are a few other minor things I'm forgetting.Don't expect a brand new honda!
Overall a NICE DRIVER QUALITY 1968 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE FACTORY BIG BLOCK 4 SPEED CAR that you can turn the key and get in and drive as is and with minor tlc make it your daily. NOT perfect but a very presentable driver in my opinion (yours may vary).
