Award winning Model A Roadster Hot Rod
Vehicle Description
This 1931 Ford Roadster was a hot rod project that was started in the 1960’s but never finished. I got the car in 2015 and finished it in the 1960’s style. It came with the 292 y block that is in it but without any speed equipment, came with the transmission, 1932 grill shell, the Guide headlights and mounts, gauge cluster, Pontiac taillights and the RARE Hollywood disc company wheels. The car was built with the original 1960’s vision with period or handmade parts. I handmade all the stainless steel moldings on the car, the torque tube headers, fan shroud and much more. I painted the car a custom gold pearl, nicknamed “Pale-Ale”. Shaun, my son, did all the pinstriping. In 2022, I took it to the Ventura Nationals and won Best Hot Rod. Clear California title with current up to date registration.

Body-1931 Ford Roadster, original steel,no rust issues ever-Channeled 4 inches over the frame-Guide 682-C headlights-original 1932 Grill Shell-vintage gas cap from Sunbeam Tiger-Rear bumper is a modified 1950’s Chevy Over Rider-taillights are 1950 Pontiac with custom touches-license plate light is Hollywood Company-the trunk is all custom made to match the interior-Custom mixed “ Pale Ale” metallic paint with custom pi striping throughout the car
Interior-unknown dash cut down-original Stewart Warner gauges-Eelco pedal box-Plymouth steering wheel-Hurst Shifter-custom made center console with vintage Suntac, not working-rear view mirror is from a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr- all knobs on the dash are matching brown Bakelite- the interior was all custom made, cream and maroon vinyl with hand made moldings
