studebaker wagonaire car

Vehicle Description
Up for consideration is a rare last year low production around 600 made and decent factory options a 1966 Studebaker Wagonaire. It has original factory air with window decals slide in retractable roof desirable chrome factory luggage rack for surfboards or Christmas tree....original 283 thunderbolt V8 with low 35293 miles on the odometer. The engine will fire with quick start...The vehicle has been painted once not sure when and why...has an old time trailer tow package...has power steering with drum brakes all the way around... It comes with original factory interior headliner seats fold down seats door panels and factory flooring luggage rack etc. The vehicle looks basically rust free...all I did was check the oil buy and install a battery and washed it inside and out...not to any great detail...the previous owner was in the middle of fixing up a few things and passed away and of which we purchased. This Wagonaire has a great look it is a solid vehicle and represents the last year of the companies existence. It has a vin number on the door and another number on the firewall with a few added metal flag type tags...I think one says roof. The title says flood. I was unable to get any information about when that happened..probably might be in the same category as some of the door panels had some dry dirt on them like old water....so basically it may have exposed to water decades ago and the previous owners decided to make an insurance claim (take the money)...I mean it is not a new car there is very little material to be damaged...really has any revelance on the actual history of the car if it was a new vehicle it would be a concern...anyways it is a solid vehicle in need of a little work. The front bumper passenger side is losing some of its plating... There is a new master cylinder that has not been installed plus other parts.....buyer is responsible for pick up. There are no hubcaps...there is some extra parts that come with the vehicle. Please understand I have been on here for 25 years and sell things regularly we actually care about you. We try to sell items that are important and worthy of collecting. If you have any questions or something to share please message me.The fixed-roof option made a return for Studebaker's final model year in 1966, but the third seat was no longer offered. In addition, the 1966 Wagonaire finally was made a model in its own right,[12]blending the exterior features of the Commander with the interior trim grade of the sporty Daytona. There were also fixed-top Wagonaires available in 1966; while a total of 618 of all types of Wagonaires were built for the 1966 model year.[13]The 283 engine was a Chevrolet engine for that year as Studebaker no longer produced their own. I think this motor produced 195 hp. It looks like a 2 barrel carb.
