Up for sale is a 1985 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Explorer, an extremely clean and mostly original bullnose Ford that’s loaded with factory options and some tasteful performance upgrades. This is the perfect candidate for restoration, or simply enjoy it as-is.

• Mostly Original – Truck is 98% rust-free and extremely clean overall. Originally from Florida, now located in Indiana.

• Rust – Small spots on the bottom right of the tailgate, lower rear passenger bed side, and bottom of the passenger fender.

• Paint – Mostly original; someone previously attempted poor touch-up work on the hood, bed rails, and fenders.

• Mechanical – Runs and drives great. Recently drove 2 hours home with no issues. Tracks straight, no rattles, shakes, or suspension problems. Engine has strong oil pressure and runs healthy. Smog system has been deleted. Transmission shifts well, but has a front seal leak and will slip between 3rd and 4th gear if fluid gets low. Topping off fluid corrects the issue; likely needs a seal and possible TV cable adjustment.

• Updates – New tires and brakes installed.

• Exceptionally Clean Original Interior

• Dash pad is flawless – no cracks or damage.

• Headliner is excellent with no damage.

• Seat is original with no rips or tears.

• Carpet is in very good condition.

• Door panels and B-pillar panels show light wear.

• All glass is in excellent shape; door glass and top of windshield have aftermarket purple tint (easily removable).

• A/C not working – told it needs a new A/C clutch.

• Transmission front seal leak; fluid top-off resolves shifting issue, but I would recommend having the truck towed to avoid potential damage from low fluid levels.

• Front fuel tank has been removed due to leaking.

• Small oil leak from the front main engine seal.

This is a highly optioned, short-bed bullnose F-150 – XLT Lariat Explorer with A/C, power steering, and power brakes. Extremely hard to find in this condition and originality. With just a little TLC, it could easily be made into a reliable daily driver or taken to the next level as a restoration project.
