Vehicle Details
Considering selling my 1955 Chevy 2 door. This is a cool ratty driver, it gets more attention at the car shows than the nice 55s do. For some reason people really dig the weathered hot rod look. It was built back in the late 90s/early 2000s. It has drop spindles with power disc brakes, and power steering. Has a Fuel injected 350 LT1 and 4l60e transmission from a 94/95 Camaro. Mileage is unknown, it was pulled from a wreck and swapped into the car nearly 25 years ago. Runs well, fires right up off the key, drivetrain is all stock besides the custom dual exhaust, transmission shifts like your typical old stock 4l60e. It cruises great on the highway, rides smooth, steers and stops extremely well, it’s just all around a fun driver. I planned to run the LT till I had the funds to swap the engine over to a LS based engine. Has tilt steering column, door locks and windows work, tinted door glass. Front and rear bumpers were narrowed and flush mounted . Factory bench seat is blue and has black sheet on it. With the car I will include a pair of 63/64 ss Impala bucket seats, no brackets though. Has an in tank fuel pump with new feed and return lines along the whole car. Has the factory 55 rear end. Speedo is not hooked up, has aftermarket temp and oil pressure gauge under the dash. I would upgrade to an aluminum radiator and fans being this is the original radiator from 1955, it runs at 175-185 all day but does run a little higher on 90-100* days. It could use a fresh coat of satin black primer/paint and it’ll look fresh. It’s your typical old Tri 5, it’s had patch work done on the floors and body, 1/4s and trunk have been worked on. It’s not a show car and I never planned for it to be. floors are intact, no giant holes, it has been patched in places, rockers are intact. If you want a cool driver you can fix up and enjoy while you use it then this is the car for you, if you want a flawless show car then buy one for 3-4 times the price here on eBay. This is a running & driving 55 Chevy for under $20k, we all see what 4 doors and bare rolling shells are selling for these days.

ATTENTION!! The car is being sold with the staggered corvette rally wheels, trim rings and center caps, tires hold air but are very old. The Cragar ss that are on the car are off one of my other vehicles and I plan to keep them unless we negotiate otherwise. (Won’t be cheap) These Cragars are very dear to me, fronts are original 1970s 15x4 direct bolt pattern, and rears are 15x8 ss with Hoosier slicks. I drive the car a lot and personally liked the Cragar look over the rally wheels, my next wheel choice would be some chrome or black reverse steelies. But to each their own.
