1970 American Motors Rebel Coupe White Machine
Vehicle Description
This 1970 AMC REBEL MACHINE Only 2326 were produced.BUT only 1k were assembled as Red,White and Blue. I have Restored this car back to OEM specifications to the best of my ability. The restoration has taken 4 1/2 years. I have a clean Delaware Title in my name. Everything Works on the car! The “Machine” has less then 300 miles since the completion of the restoration.
Vehicle Details
The presented is a 1970 AMC REBEL MACHINE a 4 1/2 years Rotisserie Restoration. Every single Bolt, Glass, inside of doors, 1/4 windows regulators EVERYTHING was removed Soda Blasted then Etched primered. this includes all Machine Rims. The Undercarriage and Exterior was Painted Etched Primmer and finished with the correct Red, White, Blue paint feathered Paint (blown under) to duplicating the same look in the final painting procedure as done by the assembly line during the production back in 1970.
ENGINE
The original 390 C.I. Engine 340 HP 1970 AMC Rebel Machine,390 Engine was completely rebuilt (Top) and bottom, Rockers Springs, Push Rods,Valves, Valve Seats, Pistons and Rings,Guides,Hardware and (Bottom) Pistons, Rings, Cam Shaft, Crank, Oil Pump. Engine was balanced from New Flywheel to Engine Balancer to OEM specifications built by Awesome Engines rebuilder located in Selbyville Delaware.
When Motor was first started for first time after the Engine Rebuilt. "Engine Brake In” in Oil" was used, ran the 390 engine for 30 minutes for the initial Brake in period . I have video on my phone. This also includes Temperature measurements on all major Engine components through out the Brake in period. There are less the 500 miles since the engine has been rebuilt
TRANSMISSIONS
The manual original 4-SPEED 4- Speed TRANSMISSION, 18 Splin rebuilt by World Transmission in Dover Delawar, New Speedometer Gear. New Speedometer Cable. New Reverse Sensor. Shifter Seal. New Neutral Safety Switch Mounted on Pedal assembly. This is including all new Transmission Seals. The Manual 4 Speed Transmission was rebuilt to OEM AMC specifications. Restored Shift Rods, All new Hardware.
Correct Aluminum Bell Housing with correct AMC number. Correct mounting Hardware.
Brand new Centerforce Clutch, new Throwout Bearing, Fork, Fork Boot. Pivot, Pivot ball. Z-bar removed, cleaned new bushings installed. New Clutch Rod, and Clips
Distributor
The Distributor has been rebuilt. The Distributor was sent out and professionally rebuilt (Testing and Spun to Correct dwell setting.
New Transmission Mount and new Transmission Support.
DRIVESHAFT
Soda Blasted, Etched Primer and painted. Driveshaft was Balanced. New Universal Joints installed, both ends. Balanced.
REAR
Original the optional 3.91:1 rear end included the Twin-Grip limited-slip differential. Soda Blasted, Etched Primer and painted. Rear was disassembled inspected and reassembled. All new Seals and Gasket.
EXHAUST
Brand New Stainless Steel Exhaust System.
Built to AMC OEM specifications. Includes OEM specification All Pipes, Mufflers, Hangers, Clamps, Exhaust Manifold Gaskets and Hardware. Finished with correct new 0Both Exhaust Manifolds Were Sand Blasted painted with Heat Treated Paint installed with new Gaskets.
POWER DISC BRAKES
All new Discs Brake Calipers on Front Brakes and Shoes on Rear. OEM Stainless Steel Brake Lines (ALL)
New Master Cylinder. New Power Booster. Plate and Pivit Hardware. New Proportion Valve.
New Rear Wheel Cylinders. Drums and Rotor were turned down. All new Front & Rear Brakes Pads, Brake Rubber Hose. New Rear Drum Springs/ Hardware.
New Rotors, new Wheel Bearings Inner, Outer and Bearing Seals.
New Dust Plates
SUSPENSION
All new Upper Control Arm Bushings. Lower Control Arm Bushings and Assembly, were rebuilt with new Bushings and Pin. New two Outer and one Inner Tie Rods. New Shocks and Hardware. Tortion Bars removed Blasted etched primer. New Pitman and Idler Arm.New Front Strut Bushings
New AMC correct Rear Springs.All bushing were replaced
Steering Column was sent out to be rebuilt professionally . All new internals Seals Hardwar, including Turn single mechanism and wire harness was replaced.
The AMC Rebel Machine was taken to local Shop for Front End Alignment. Drives straight as a arrow. They also did a inspection of the car.Just to double check my work.
ELECTRICAL
All Electrical Wire Harness have been replaced from Front
To Rear. Yes every one. Forward Light Harness, Engine Harness, Main Dash Harness. Rear Harness and more.
All bulbs have been replaced in the car. New Starter, Date coded Voltage Regulator, New Coil,
Washer Fluid Squirt Motor, Stater Solenoid,
Alternator 60 AMPS, Engine Oil Pressure unit, Engine Temperature Sensor, Oil Pressure Sensor.
New Speed Wiper Motor built by The Wiper Man. Wiper Motor Transmission arms were restored. Restored Arms and new Blades. New small Washer lines and new Washer Reservoir.
COOLING
Brand New OEM built Radiator (3 Row) Big block Radiator. It's 3-row for Max cooling. With correct 16psi Cap, Correct Overflow hose, Mounting bolts,Correct Fan shroud attaching hardware, Correct Upper/Lower Radiator Hose Clamps.
Correct number stamped Fan Blade.
New Radiator Hoses Upper and Lower, Correct Stamped identification Marked AMC Part numbers. New Heater Hose Nipples.
New Heater Hoses Correct Stamped identification AMC Part numbers.
New AMC Stamped Water Pump Thermostat Gaskets and Temperature Sensor
Original Heater Core was professionally Re-Corded.
Heater Box was completely disassembled. All internal (Seals) gaskets and foam were installed and new correct Hardware was used to re-assemble.
Correct AMC stamping, Alternator Belt and Power Steering Belt.
FUEL SYSTEM
Correct New Gas Tank restored Gas Tank Straps and new hardware. New Sending Unit.
All New Stainless Steel Fuel Lines
And Mounting clips and Hardware.
Correct Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter -New
Carborators. All AMC Part numbers on each Carborators and AMC stamp part number are Correct
The Carborator were professionally Rebuilt to OEO specifications. Tested on live Engine by Bowen Carborators.
Air Breather was Soda Blasted and Etched Primer.
The option for Ram Air option was totally disassembled. reassembled with all new seals primmer and Paint and Pull Cables.
INTERIOR
New Upholstery on Front Bench Seat and Reat Seat Material from Legendary. I installed the material for front bucket seats, Rear Seats, Arm rest and Door Panels.
Correct Color by Numbers, Color correct Upholstery.

The AMC Rebel Machine has gone through Deleware State Inspection. This Includes Delaware State Emissions.
Both Passed!
In closing I have put my heart and sole in the car. I had a Liver Transplant in during the restoration,which it slowed me down some.
But In retrospect, it gave me greater detail and greater appreciation for the results in the restoration. I very proud of the final results. The new owner will getting a restored car that has been restored right. I do have supporting documentation on all the items mentioned in this ad.
