1929 FORD Model A Roadster Runs Drives Stops

Vehicle Description
DESCRIPTION
1929 Ford Model A Roadster.
In February 1929 Ford Motor Company had sold one million Model A's. Five months later the company had sold two million. It may have seemed like everybody had a Model A, this example was purchased by an Iowa car collector because he thought it was a great way to show how people during both the Depression and World War II had to 'make do' and the Model A could handle any task you could throw its direction.
This Model A roadster was purchased non-running during the 1960s in rough condition in Alexandria, Virginia. The former owner was a painter by trade, welding brackets on the fenders of the A to hold his ladders, using a screen door hook to keep the door closed, a chain to raise the trunk and tar to seal the windshield. It remains just as he found it.
Since I purchased it a few years ago we’ve gotten it running again and installed a new radiator.Runs, drives and stops. We’ve driven it all over my place but have not had it on the road.
