Up for sale is a time-capsule 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle Sedan with just 30,000 miles on the factory mechanical odometer. This one-family Colorado survivor was purchased new from Heuberger VW in Colorado Springs and stayed with the original owner until 1993. It then remained with the same family for another 24 years before a friend purchased it and kept it until we acquired it in 2025.

Mechanically, it retains its original air-cooled 1,584 cc flat-four (46 hp) with a single-carb setup, paired to a 4-speed manual transaxle and drum brakes all around. The Super Beetle’s MacPherson-strut front suspension delivers a composed ride. An oil change and valve adjust was performed in preparation for the sale.

Cosmetically, it’s painted Sahara Beige with Mocha leatherette interior—the paint is overall excellent, with only a noted rear apron repair and a touch-up to the right front fender done in 1974. Trim includes polished beltline moldings, chrome bumpers with rub strips, and 15″ steel wheels with full hubcaps. The interior is like new, and new Horsehair padding was installed underneath the factory upholstery to make the seats feel like new again.

Features include a Wolfsburg-crest steering wheel, 100‑mph VDO speedo, fresh‑air blower, map light, cigarette lighter, and Sapphire XVIII AM radio. Comes with manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a clean Colorado title.
