Vehicle Description

(Re-Started Auction as the Last Bidder did not Pay! There were 12 Bidders and the Bidding got up to $14,644 with the Second to Last Bidder - Starting at $14,500 with NO RESERVE!!!) 1953 Ford "Country Sedan" 4 Door, 9 Passenger Station Wagon. Was assembled at the Long Beach, California Plant, and was a California Car from new until 2018 when I moved to Texas and brought the Car with me (Covered 1400 Miles with no problems). I am the Second Owner of this Car!!! I purchased it off of the Used Car Lot at Walker-Buerge Ford at 11800 Santa Monica Blvd., West Los Angeles, California, on September 9th, 1964 (I was 15 at the time). I have now Owned it for 60 Years! It is still 90% Original. Mileage on the Day I Purchased it was around 24,000 - Mileage is now 88,119, so I drove it 64,000 Miles in 60 Years! Still has a 239 CID Flathead Engine and Three Speed Transmission. Engine and Transmission were Rebuilt back in the 1990's. In the Rebuild, I installed Offenhauser Heads, Edelbrock Intake Manifold with Twin Holley Carburetors and Headers. Also Installed Duel Exhaust with Glass Pack Mufflers. I also converted the car over to a 12 Volt Electrical System and Installed a Brand New Wiring Harness at the same time along with "0" Gauge Heavy Duty Battery Cables. Car was Re-Painted in 1977 in a Two Tone Carnival Red with Sandstone Yellow around the Window area. Front and Rear Bumpers were Re-Plated at that time since I had removed them for the Re-Paint. Interior Seats were Re-Upholstered in Red and Black (Still has the Third Row Seat) with Black Headliner and Black Carpeting. The rest of the Interior is Original like the Door Panels which are still in Good Condition. The Windshield and all Glass, except for one Sliding Window, are Original! Some Exterior Trim Pieces were replaced with Original Parts and NOS Parts back in the 1960's and 1970's that were still available at the Ford Agency Parts Department at the time. The Radio still played last time I turned it on (I put New Tubes in it back in the 1960's). The Self-Winding Clock still works but may need contacts cleaned and Lite Sewing Machine Oil on Moving Parts, as I have not serviced it in a while. It came from a Parts Car I found in a Wrecking Yard back in 1970 in Arizona. Heater Works - put in a new Core some years back. Windshield Wipers still Work! Brakes have a Duel Reservoir that a Mechanic Friend found for me to replace the Single one that the Cars originally came with, for better safety. Just installed a Brand New Clutch Kit from Dennis Carpenter Ford Parts in August, 2024. Also Replaced the Fuel Regulator, Coil, and Distributor Condenser, Points, and Rotor in a Tune-Up as well. Also Changed the Motor Oil and Oil Filter (#1006). The Grille was Recently Re-Plated and just Re-Installed back on the Car on March 24th, 2025. Exterior Photos of the Station Wagon were taken on March 31, 2025! (FYI: Someone asked recently if the Car had ever been in an Accident - the Answer is a BIG FAT NO!!! In the 60 Years that I have Owned the Car, I have NEVER had an Accident with it, Period!!!). Due to Turning 76 Years Old this year, I am not able to enjoy the Car like I have in the Past 60 Years, so I made the Hard Decision to Sell the Car after 60 Years of Ownership!. I have a Folder with all my Receipts of Work done on the car dating back to 1964 including the Original Bill of Sale from the Car Agency, which I will include with the Car. If you have any Questions, Please Feel Free to ask by EBAY Email - "I will only give out my Phone Number if you are truly interested in Buying the Car". "When was the last time you came across a Vintage Ford Station Wagon that was in the Hands of the Second Owner for 60 years???!!! "You are Not going to find a Classic Station Wagon like this everyday!!!" No Trades! (NOTE: "Buyer is Responsible for Vehicle Pick-Up or Shipping" - "I am Located in South-East Texas"!) - Serious Buyers Only Please! (FYI: NO RESERVE! Previous Bidder Backed Out of Sale so this is Relisted Starting where the Previous Bidding left off).
