Vehicle Details

My wife and I bought this car in 2023 by accident. But, it has been the best “oops car“ that we have ever bought. We never thought that we would win this at auction. But, here it is.

In September, 2023 - shortly after I purchased this beautiful machine - I drove it from Central Florida to Cincinnati, Ohio; then to the Corvette Museum and factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky; then, back to Florida. A 2,200 mile trip with no problems at all.

It runs great. Has plenty of Pep and power. Less than 32,000 actual miles. It may have more miles when you buy it because we take it to car shows on the weekends sometimes. It has always been garage kept and pampered.

The good: beautiful all original finish with excellent all original leather interior. Lots of power. New water pump. New opti-spark. Oil changed every 3000 miles, or annually. An overall low mileage car that is ready to drive. And it’s the 40th anniversary edition! The car also comes with a complete owners manual package with leather cover, laminated window sticker and build sheet, original sales brochures, promotional model in display case, fire extinguisher, car cover - and additional items shown in the photos. Logo sill plates and stitched logo floor carpets are included. Tires are about 3 years old and have less than 4000 miles on them. Brakes work great. Serpentine belt was replaced by a previous owner in 2012 at 23,193 miles.

The bad: the radio, cassette and clock do not work properly. In fact, the cassette player stole one of my Elvis tapes, and it is still in there. We never worried about it because we like to hear the roar of the engine when driving.

The ugly: there are a few small rock chips here and there around the front and hood of the car. They are very hard to see unless you get right up onto them.

HISTORY, PROVENANCE & ADMIN NOTES: The Carfax shows more than 3 owners. This is incorrect. The first owner purchased the car new in Michigan and registered it in Kentucky in 1993. He used the car exclusively to take to Indianapolis, Indiana to show during the Indy 500 events each year; and sometimes to local car shows and events. He accumulated about 25,000 miles on the car during that 19 year period. In 2012, the first owner traded the car to a dealer in Pennsylvania. The PA dealer displayed the car in his showroom for 3 years. I'm sure it brought in plenty of customers. In 2015, the dealer sold the car to it's 2nd owner. That owner used the car exclusively for car shows, accumulating another 2,400 miles on the odometer in 8 years. The 2nd owner moved to Arizona from PA in 2023 and sold the car at Mecum Auction in Tulsa, OK in June, 2023 for $19,250.00 to a dealer from Florida who sold it to me in July 2023.

There is a blurb on one of the auto checks that shows a "non-collsion" event of some kind back in the 90's. The car has never had any body work as it is completely all original with it's original paint. So, I'm not sure what that could be other than perhaps the owner, at the time, may have had an occasion to call AAA and it was reported somehow. Wish I could be of more help.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. The car is for sale and ready to go. The price is FIRM.
