Why West Coast Cobra?
Road racing type chassis is very strong & protective (vs ladder frame)
Front suspension (Pinto / Mustang II) supports aftermarket upgrades.
Rear suspension is 4-bar Ford 9”.
It’s a bit larger than the original.
Why not West Cobra?
Not an exact replica.
It was fairly difficult to build, but that’s mostly done.
Lots of custom work was required.
Definitely not for beginners who are looking for quick & easy.
So why am I selling it?
I bought it when I was young, before kids. I’m retired now with different priorities.
So what will it take to finish it?
It needs fine tuning of the carburettor and distributor.
I’d go with a lower rear end ratio - probably 3.75:1
I’d put disk brakes on the rear.
The current bell housing is large. A stock unit would improve ground clearance.
I’d upgrade the stock Ford front suspension with an adjustable coil over setup.
The seats need to be recovered.
It needs all the body work and interior work of any kit car. Your budget, your taste.
