Vehicle Description
A little over 500 Q-code Hardtops and Grandes were built for 73.RARE TRIPLE WHITE. LOADED WITH OPTIONS!!! PS/PDB/AC/Power Windows/Leather wrapped steering wheel/Convenience group.. COMPETITION SUSPENSION. Original factory FORGED aluminum rims/front spoiler. Pretty complete and original. Always a Virginia car. Has been sitting 20+ years.Somebody put black upholstery in, but it is supposed to be white (see factory invoice for all options).Driver door was replaced by the original owner. Since the door data label cannot be removed without damage, there is a DMV VIN certification tag on the back driver door pillar (See pics). Apparently the original owner also replaced the dash, and the VIN tag was removed. The original buck tag is still on the car. (see pics). The DMV certification tag, the buck tag, the factory invoice, the original sales contract, the stamped numbers under the fender, TITLE, and ALL NUMBERS ON THE CAR ARE MATCHING. (SEE PICS). And with the triple white color scheme (factory lower body blackout with chrome trim strip), AC, power windows, and leather wrapped steering wheel, I'm certain there were barely a handful so WELL equipped. This car is so original- it has serious potential for a gorgeous concours restoration. I pulled the radiator, and was able to turn the engine back and forth with a wrench on the crank. I didn't want to move it too much since it hasn't been run in 20+ years. Just wanted to ensure it was free. I don't believe it's necessary to make it run. It's a 52 year old engine that's been sitting for 20. It deserves a rebuild if one restores the car. There is clean looking oil on the dipstick. Other than hoses, wires, and belts, (maybe the alternator), the engine looks 100% original.I don't really want to run it, since I know the brakes are inop. Inside the master cylinder reservoir is dry and ugly rust. The original factory forged wheels are in good shape, and will clean up nice with some wet sanding, and polishing. This car is so complete and original- it has serious potential for a gorgeous concours restoration.
