The 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger is a classic pickup truck with a unique red interior color and black exterior color. Marti report shows this truck was originally silver with a red vinyl interior. Nicely equipped with AC and dual fuel tanks. Very solid truck with 2 areas of rust as mentioned in the condition report. The underside of the truck has surface rust, no rot. 400 V8 with a 2bbl carburetor, power steering and brakes. C6 automatic transmission. Engine doesn’t make any unusual noises nor does it have any exhaust smoke. The transmission shifts properly. The transfer case engages as it should. Front disc brakes with new lines and hoses. New front coil springs and radius arm bushings. Newer (2023 date coded) BF Goodrich All Terrain K02 tires on factory chrome steel wheels. The tires are 35x12.50R15. Drives and stops like a 1979 F150.The exterior paint is driver quality with areas of clear coat peeling, fading and paint missing. The windshield has a crack at the upper center portion. The back glass is tinted and in nice shape. The tailgate is missing the handle but opens and closes fairly easily using the rods. There is an aftermarket push bar mounted on the front. The hood opens and closes as it should.The interior has a later model cloth bench seat that is torn on the drivers side. The dash trim is in a box. The cluster is an original full gauge setup and works aside from the fuel gauge. The original AC panel is there with the dual fuel tank switch. The panel isn’t connected to anything. The dash pad is missing as are the inner door panels. The headliner is falling down on the right side and missing on the left side. The door opening weatherstripping is dry rotted and falling apart. The keys operate both door locks and the ignition switch. It appears all of the factory AC components are present behind the dash and under the hood.This vehicle can be operated as is or utilized as an ongoing project. The driver side floor rust is shown in the pictures as is the driver door rust on the lower rear corner. The forward fuel tank is missing but the neck and wiring are present.This is a good solid unrestored vehicle other than the 2 mentioned areas.
