1969 Mustang Sportsroof, Fastback, 351 4 speed 9" Traction Lok. 428 1970 Boss

Vehicle Description
1969 Mustang Sportsroof.(Other years were called Fastback, 2 + 2, etc.)Originally built with a L code 250 straight six,and a three speed manual transmission.I do not believe it to be a Mustang "E" car, as it doesn't reflect that on the Marti. In the car for the last 40 years sits a 351 Cleveland engine, mated to a Top Loader four speed transmission, with an INDY Shifter. The engine turns freely with a breaker bar.The rear end is a Ford 9 inch Traction-Lok out of a full size car, or a truck.Has the larger bolt pattern. The rims are all Kelsey Hayes. The tires are new.Car is complete, and ready for mechanical or full restoration. The guy who built it this way obviously raced with the car back in the day. It’s a dual point distributor, no power options, had four hood pins holding the hood on, now removed. It's a real time capsule from the late 70s, early 80s, a day 2 car.The car has a sunroof, a trailer hitch, a CB radio, an EQ, several dash toggles, a column tach, pleated door and side panels, fog lights, air shocks, had shag carpeting, and a single traction bar sitting in the trunk.I contemplated keeping it as it sits, just doing the metal work, and mechanically restoring it.I have had the car for two years, it is registered in my name.I can easily apply for a clean RI title for it if necessary, if your state requires that, but the Current RI Registration acts as the legal ownership document, and is transferable to all 50 states.RI just started titling cars over 10 years old. It wasn’t required when I bought it.I also have the Texas title from when I obtained the car.I was going to drop a 428 Cobra Jet in it, but it definitely could be fixed up and driven as-is, old school.I just replaced the hood with a clean stock OEM hood, hence the new pics with the red hood.I also have the original hood scoop for it.I also have hood hinges for it, to go with the car. There’s one hood hinge nut missing on each side apron. The original color is Pastel Gray, with blue standard interior. The Marti Report has everything you would want to know on it.It will need roof repairs, or a roof skin, the sunroof doesn’t leak, but very few seem to want the old school look today.I have a new driver side trunk drop-off, a new battery tray, and set of L and R full floor pans going with the car. There is rust in the corners of the fenders, doors, etc.All small repairable areas. Peeling paint in areas. The trunk, lid, and taillight panel have a couple of rust areas. It’s formerly a Texas car, not a RI car,so aside from needing pans and the areas I've mentioned, the undercarriage is not terrible.Interior is very usable as is, should clean up nicely.I have some white interior I can sell to you separately,if you want to go in that direction.I have a lot of random Mustang stuff.Prefer a local cash buyer. If you're local come see it.Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and the deposit is non refundable. Please don't waste my time or yours, if you're not a serious buyer with the means of completing the transaction.Message me if you have any questions.I can add more pictures of whatever you want to see.I've posted representative photos and described this car as accurately as possible.I see worse condition cars here, listed for more money, quite frequently.
