1966 oldsmobile 98 Holiday Coupe 7.0l
Vehicle Description
1966 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday Coupe 2DR Hardtop – Rare Classic, Smooth Cruiser, Rebuilt Powerhouse
For sale: a rare 1966 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday Coupe, a true icon of ‘60s American luxury and muscle. It runs and drives flawlessly, and still turns heads with its long, low profile and unmistakable charm.
The original Super Rocket V8 425Ci engine has been fully rebuilt with a modern touch while staying true to its roots, paired with the original 3-speed automatic transmission. The body shines despite a 10-year-old paint job, with a visible crack on the hood and a minor dent on the front-right fender (no paint damage). Inside, the original upholstery is in good shape, with some wear on the rear seat, and a new headliner and carpet add fresh comfort.
Vehicle History:Here’s a brief history of this classic:
Originally registered brand-new in Lansing, Michigan in 1966.
Second owner purchased it in 2004 and exported it to the UK.
I became the third owner in the summer of 2012, based in London. The car received a full repaint in 2015 and a complete engine renovation in 2021.
In 2023, I brought the car back to its rightful home — the USA. It cleared U.S. Customs and was fully titled and registered in California.
The California DMV conducted a thorough ownership and history verification, including checks with the DVLA (UK equivalent of the DMV), and officially certified and titled the vehicle.
