1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham 3.8l

Vehicle Description

One owner. Needs a paint job. Has no serious rust issues, (here in Texas) just light superficial spots here and there. Kept under carport last 20 years. With some minor body work, this car can be painted to look like new. This car was driven regularly for many years, 4-5 times a week, locally. Motor runs pretty smooth. The interior is in plush condition as photos indicate. Driver seat pillow cushion has been stitched, (see pic) where torn from getting in and out.Transmission was rebuilt for the second time about 8 years ago. Ihave replaced front end parts, shocks, water pump, starter, exhaust etc. as required, and have maint. records from 1996 to present. Original motor has the factory piston rings, and it does "smoke" very lightly for a few minutes when started for the first time if parked for several weeks. Driver seat electric motor adjustment, (seat is set in far forward position where preferred)will need the plastic gears replaced to operate. Recently installed new alternator, trans fluid/filter, engine oil/filter, in preparation for sale. Battery was replaced Nov. 2024. I also flushed AC lines and converted to R134a/PAG oil in prep for sale. AC was still using R12 when car was parked in 2023. AC compressor body however, has a leak, (see pic)and will need to be repaired/replaced, as charge only held 2-3 days. Power steering pump is starting to go out also. I have been adding PS fluid for years, it has become harder to steer just recently, even with full fluid. Headliner and visors upholstery were done in 2006-see pics.I have personally maintained this car over the years.Car was taken on 2 road trips when newer, each about 2,000 miles, in the late 80's and then in early 90's. This is a great one owner car with a clean Texas title---Priced to sell!Happy bidding!!
