Vehicle Description

1967 Prince Skyline 2000GT-B Backdate TributeThis 1967 Prince Skyline 2000GT-B has been modified as a backdated tribute of the #39 car campaigned by Yoshikazu Sunako in the 1964 Japan Grand Prix and was imported to the US during prior ownership. Power is from a 2.0-liter G7 inline-six equipped with triple Weber carburetors and paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and the car has been repainted in blue with #39 decals and GT-II branding. Additional features include front disc brakes, black vinyl Kameari GT bucket seats with Sabelt harnesses, bullet-style side mirrors, a push-button AM radio, Checkman steering wheel, Bilstein shocks, and black-painted RS Watanabe wheels. The 2000GT-B variant debuted in 1965 and featured a wheelbase that was extended by 8” to accommodate a 2.0-liter inline-six from the Gloria sedan. This example is previously refurbished by Prince Garage Katori of Chiba Prefecture, Japan and modified to resemble the #39 car campaigned in the 1964 Japan Grand Prix by Yoshikazu Sunako. The bodywork has been repainted blue, the rear C-pillar vents have been shaved, and a 1964-style front grille has been added. Additional features include taped headlights, bullet-style side mirrors, GT-II decals, and #39 meatballs on the hood and both front doors. Pitting is evident on the brightwork, and several paint flaws and imperfections are noted by the seller, along with enlarged hood gaps.Black-painted RS Watanabe wheels are mounted with Yokohama S.drive tires. A full-size spare is found in the trunk. Power-assisted front disc brakes and torsion bar rear suspension were standard equipment on the 2000GT-B. Custom Bilstein shocks and springs have been added. The right-hand drive cabin has been stripped of its carpets, door panels, and rear seats. Black vinyl Kameari GT fixed-back bucket front seats are equipped with metal ventilation grommets and Sabelt harnesses. Custom metal floor plates have been installed, and a push-button AM radio and Jeco analog clock are mounted in the dash.A leather-wrapped Checkman steering wheel sits ahead of Denso instrumentation that includes a 200-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and combination displays. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 6k kilometers (~4k miles), around 700 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 2.0-liter G7 inline-six was shared with the Prince Gloria sedan and features triple Weber 40mm carburetors. The engine is said to have been rebuilt with a mild camshaft some time during prior ownership. Work carried out by JDM Legends of Murray, Utah prior to the current owner’s acquisition reportedly included re-sealing and tuning the carburetors, refreshing the wiring, and installing a stainless-steel header and twin-pipe exhaust system. The fuel tank is said to have been removed and cleaned in 2018.Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that the floor pans were replaced during the initial refurbishment and fiberglass has been applied to the trunk floor. Corrosion is present on the suspension components.More photos and video availableChassis: 54-109524 - This car is street legal with a clean Florida Title.https://youtu.be/uB0f98xCCPoSerious inquiries Call or Text Eddie at 305-527-6867 or Nahuel 305-469-8304We take trades up or downWorldwide shipping availableFinancing AvailableOur website is thegroupb.comFollow us on Instagram for live updates @thegroupbofficial
