Vehicle Description

1955 Nash Metropolitan CoupeThis is a clean classic Nash Metropolian. The mileage on the odometer is 46,346, which I believe to be original. The car runs great and the body is straight and nice. It has nice looking original patina paint. It has the cool continental kit on it, which I really like. They may have all had that, I'm not sure. It won't take much to make this car into a daily driver. This car surprisingly fits a large person well. I am 6'5", and I'm comfortable sitting in it.All the details on the car are below. I can help arrange shipping if needed. Feel free to ask questions. I can sell it on or off ebay.I DO NOT ACCEPT CARAMEL. I accept and prefer wire transfer. I use a local credit union and they know me there. I require full payment within 3 business days.MECHANICAL

The nash has what looks to be the original inline 4-cylinder engine. It runs excellent. It does not smoke, tick or knock. It does not have blowby. It has the three-speed manual transmission, with the shifter on the column. The car needs a new clutch master cylinder/slave cylinder to be driveable. It will be fixed for the full asking price. If you want to do that work yourself, I will sell it cheaper. It would probably be best to just let me fix it before shipping it, because shipping can cost mre for a non-running car. The I tested the clutch and transmission manually, and they are fine. It will need new tires. The only electrical things hooked up are the ignition and starter. This has older wiring, and I thought it was best to unhook it, and the buyer can decide if they want to re-wire it or use the existing wiring. Before I unhooked the wiring, the generator and headlights did work.

BODY

The body on this car is in nice condition. There is no external rust. There are a couple small dings, but overall the body is really straight. The only rust is in the passenger side floorpan. It is a small spot, and easy to repair. The floors are all solid. I had the seat out too, and looked them over very well. The trunk and trunk pan have no rust either. I can get undercarriage/underfloor pics. This car has nice looking patina paint. I think it would be cool just to fix it and drive it the way it is now. Doors, windows and hood operate as they should. I only have two hubcaps for it, but I've seen others for sale on ebay. The glass is all usable on the car.

INTERIOR

The interior is pretty sparse in these cars. The seats need redone. It will need a carpet or floormat. The door panels are usable. The rear seat in these cars was just an upholstered pad. It's gone, but would be easy to make a replacement. The trunk is accessed from a door inside the car. The gauges and dash area aren't cut up. It wouldn't take much work to get the interior usable.

Feel free to ask questions. Thank you.
