This beautifully restored 1974 MGB Roadster combines originality, tasteful performance upgrades, and meticulous care throughout. Restored in 2016 and driven approximately 10,000 miles since, it presents in exceptional condition with 74,758 miles on the odometer.

Finished in its rare original color, Tundra Green, this was one of MG’s most unique offerings in 1974—a rich olive tone introduced during the brand’s expanded color palette. The base coat / clear coat paintwork is show-quality, with deep gloss and only two tiny blemishes of note.

Power comes from a rebuilt 1.8L B-Series engine featuring a Kent high-speed cam, which adds a welcome boost in power and responsiveness. The idle is slightly lumpier due to the cam profile—an expected trade-off for the performance gain. The engine is paired with a rebuilt 4-speed gearbox with factory overdrive, offering improved cruising capability. A new single Weber carburetor was installed in fall 2023.

Braking has been fully overhauled with all new hydraulics, and the previous owner described the system as “high-performance” in feel and response. The engine bay is clean and tidy, reflecting the level of care this car has received.

The interior features a stunning new beige upholstery set, with a high-quality wood-rimmed steering wheel.A new fitted soft top and included tonneau cover are both in excellent condition. All gauges and electrical components are fully functional, and the chrome luggage rack and exterior brightwork are in near-new condition.

Originally a wire wheel car, it currently rides on mag wheels mounted to wire wheel splines. A return to wire wheels is simple—no axle or hub conversions needed.

The undercarriage is solid and rust-free, with no structural concerns. This is a turn-key British roadster that drives as new and offers a rare combination of originality, tasteful upgrades, and show-level finish.
