Vehicle Description

SPRING SPECIAL NO RESERVE Will work with serious buyerThis '52 TD was completely restored in 2006 and driven "only on Sundays" (actually true-owned by a minister-the title is in hand) He passed in 2008 and his wife simply left the car in the garage until I got it last year hoping to refurbish it. The car is rust free and super straight - look at the edges of fenders - wood is in super condition, paint still shines - doors close tight and even. I sand blasted and powder coated the wheels and installed 155x15 Vredstein tires (5). Hub caps are in great shape. I had the radiator cleaned and painted - new grill slats, grill shell is A-1,the chrome is very good. White interior is quite serviceable. Top needs to be replaced-side curtains are okay-tonneau. The engine is out for rebuild. It sat too long. The head has very low mileage (valve job 3000 miles ago and I'll include good set of used valves and springs-just in case). You can decide whether to rebuild the TD engine, upgrade to an MGA or MGB or go old school and put in a Ford V8 60hp. Original Lucas starter and generator dated 6/51. I'll throw in an MG work manual. The reason for selling is creeping age (78) and I cannot restore one car while trying to maintain a race car. It's hard enough to maintain myself. Car is in Orlando near airport and I will work with buyer regarding delivery/pick up. Please ask questions. I've owned TDs since the 60s (see attached) and the body of this is as good as I have ever seen. The brass ID plate (see pix) number 8813 matches the stamped number on dumb iron and the engine number from plate is what Florida used on its title (see pix). This is really worth serious consideration if you are a T series person. Make me an offer I cannot refuse. I need the space to prep the race car. I really don't want to part it out. NO RESERVE. The red car is not for sale unless you are a serious vintage racer. Just ask. The cream and brown car is not for sale. I will consider selling car without the motor which I will rebuild as a spare for the race TD when I have time.
