1956 Mercury Monterey Sports Sedan

Vehicle Description

1956 Mercury Monterey Sports Sedan with original 312 Y-Block V8 engine and Merc-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission. Clean title, alifornia car, 90K miles.
Some of the work done since I acquired it a few years ago:

• Full body restoration, own to bare metal
• New interior
• New glass
• New weatherstripping
• New period-correct wide whitewall tires
• Carb (Holley) rebuild
• New fuel tank
• New battery
• New exhaust manifolds
• New wiper motor and wipers
• Period-appropriate seat belts (original had none)
• Period-appropriate side mirrors

This is a very nice looking daily driver, hich I actually drive regularly. That said, have another car project that has been consuming most of my energy so I'm looking for a new owner to enjoy this old beast and see it through the project completion.
In the interest of full disclosure, hese are the missing tasks:

• Refinish trunk interior
• Refinish some of the chrome
• Reassemble the original horn ring (which I have, nd the horn works)
• Some interior details such as glove compartment, oor trim, tc

The new owner should also decide whether to continue the restoration path and further invest on the original drivetrain or rip it out and build a hotrod. I've been torn about this and procrastinating the decision for a while :)
